4 Serial Network Module
Product
Description
Features
NM-4T
4 port Synchronous Serial Network Module
Four serial ports.
Cisco DB-60 connectors.
The module provides a synchronous data rate of 8 MB/sec on port 0, 4 MB/sec each on port 0 and port 2, or 2 MB on all four ports simultaneously.
16 or 32 async ports Uses 68-pin connectors with the same cabling and connectors as the 2509 (CAB-OCTAL-xxxx or CAB-25AS-xxxx). Supports 134 kbps async on all ports simultaneously.
One or Two E1 ports Supports Channelized E1 or ISDN PRI. Each port is configured independantly. You can configure one port for ISDN and the other for channelized E1. Supports framed G.704. For unframed G.703 see the VWIC-1MFT-G703. Available in balanced 120 ohm and unbalanced 75 ohm (different physical hardware, cannot be upgraded in the field). Interface is DB-15
RJ-45 10 or 100 Mbps speed, auto sensing (no MII port, no fiber option). Full or half duplex, auto-negotiating (at 10 MBPS and 100 MBPS) Supports Channelized E1 or ISDN PRI. Each port is configured independantly. You can configure one port for ISDN and the other for channelized E1. Supports framed G.704. For unframed G.703 see the VWIC-1MFT-G703. These network modules can be field configured to balanced (120 ohm) or unbalanced (75 ohm) operation by changing jumpers on the network module. Interface is DB-15
Network Module with 6 to 30 digital modems in increments of 6. Field upgradeable in increments of 6 using MICA-6MOD=. Takes voice calls from T1, E1 and ISDN BRI (from a BRI network module, not a WIC) and routes them to the modems.
Supports 56k flex, V.90, dial-out, fax modem and V.110.
Supports speeds up to 33.6 kbps (V.34bis). No 56 kbps support. Two wire leased line is supported beginning in 12.1(5)T with firmware version 1.2.8. Supports fax-out utilizing the Cisco Dial-Out Client. All connectors are RJ-11. Comes with 8 or 16 pink cables (bundle of 8 pink cables is available as CAB-NM-ANALOGMOD).
